College magazine research
the layout is professional looking really wordy and has a lot of content with a formal structure
Background colour is wright though out the magazine giving it a formal look
layout
background varies from article to article sometimes simple such as white or black and sometimes has complex pictures or patterns
Lots of pictures on the pages makes the articles look more eye catching and informal
Informal word layout such as short paragraphs which is easier to read and does not discourage readers with large amounts of text. Some word layout is also in a Q&A layout which like the short paragraphs is quick and easy to read

CD evaluation
From the front cover people can easily tell that the genre of the music is metal. The front cover follows many conventions of the metal genre such as a skull and blood which are associated with the genre. There are also tears which are also liked to the genre. The colour code used on the cover are the conventional colours like black, red and white. The font also shows that there is a metal theme with the words having a decayed look. The name as death dies is linked to the metal genre because a lot of metal covers topics on death. The background is plain black which is the main colour of the metal genre.
The back cover is very simple it has the same style lettering as the front with the same background as the front cover.
If I had more time I would have added a rose either side of the skull.
